How businesses are chosen

To be in a list, a business needs at least 4.7 stars on Google from 25 or more reviews, has to be in or near the town the list covers, and must still be trading.
We search Google for that kind of business in that town, read the listings, and check each business by hand. Ratings and review counts are as we found them on the date shown, and they'll change over time.
We don't rank businesses against each other: every list is in alphabetical order. We don't take payment to include anyone or move them up. We don't write reviews of our own or claim to have used every business. We only report what customers have said on Google and the facts on the business's own listing.
If you run a business in the guide and something's wrong or out of date, or you'd rather not be included, tell us and we'll sort it, usually the same day.
